Council manages close to $1 billion worth of assets including roads, bridges, water, sewerage, marine facilities, buildings, parks, recreational facilities and natural assets.
All assets are managed in accordance with Asset Management Plans to optimise their life and cost, which results in servicing plans, maintenance programs and capital works programs.
Capital works programs include the renewal of existing assets, upgrades and construction of new assets required to deliver services to the community.
Council has a 10 year Capital Works Program, with the current year resolved within the council budget.
The Capital Works Report outlines Council's progress with approved capital works for the current financial year.
Dates are indicative of the planned program, however issues such as poor weather can have a significant impact on works and adjustments have to be made accordingly.
