As a cadet, you'll get practical, hands-on experience while completing your engineering degree, working alongside experts in the field and contributing to real-world projects.

Earn While You Learn: Council will pay for your tuition, and you’ll receive a salary ranging from $57,837 to $71,401 (pro-rata depending on study level and experience).

You must be studying or accepted to study engineering at CQU, intending to major in civil or mechanical engineering.
You must be from the Cassowary Coast region.
You must be an Australian Citizen.
