Care for Our Parks:

Help us protect the Cassowary Coast’s natural beauty by following these simple guidelines:

  • Respect Wildlife: Avoid disturbing plants and animals. Don't leave food out or feed wildlife.
  • Pets: Dogs are welcome at most locations, except Garden Island. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times.
  • Honor Indigenous Heritage: Admire cultural sites without touching, as they are irreplaceable.
  • Preserve Historical Landmarks: Enjoy them, but do not damage.
  • Fire Safety: Always fully extinguish your fire with water before leaving. Bring your own firewood.
  • Leave No Trace: Take your rubbish with you and never bury it
