Aged Care Reforms Information Hubs at Cassowary Coast Libraries

A pilot program to help inform communities about recent and upcoming reforms to the aged care process in Australia is rolling out across Cassowary Coast Libraries.

Aged Care Reforms Information Hubs are providing key information to people transitioning into aged care, or those who have an interest in the Australian Government’s Aged care reforms.  The information includes:

  • Recent and upcoming changes to aged care.
  • Information about individual rights.
  • Registration for My Aged Care.
  • An opportunity to provide feedback about quality aged care.

Support personnel at the information hubs will be offering information sessions followed by one-on-one appointments across the following schedule:

Innisfail Library

  • Monday 13 November, 10am & 1pm
  • Monday 20 November, 10am & 1pm
  • Monday 27 November, 10am & 1pm

Tully Library

  • Friday 10 November, 10am & 1pm
  • Friday 24 November, 10am & 1pm

Cardwell Library

  • Monday 4 December, 10am & 1pm
  • Monday 11 December, 10am & 1pm

Mission Beach Library

  • Friday 1 December, 10am & 1pm
  • Friday 8 December, 10am & 1pm

Cassowary Coast Libraries is one of only four councils in Queensland chosen to participate in this pilot program.

The Aged Care Reforms Information Hubs are delivered by the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Aged Care in partnership with the Australian Library and Information Association.
