Mission Beach roads damaged by landslips to be fixed today

Thank you to everyone who has called Council to make us aware of the following roads which have been affected by landslips due to excessive rain. Please note that Council crews are being dispatched to clear access in the following order of priority:

1. Alexander Drive towards Bingil Bay

2. Fenby Gap El Arish Mission Beach Rd

3. Explorers Drive South Mission Beach

4. Kennedy Esplanade South Mission Beach boat ramp

While the immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed other roads may still be subject to flooding, trees falling and landslips.

* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.

* Stay away from storm water drains.

* Stay away from fallen powerlines.

* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.
