Revamp Your Business: $5,000 Grants for Shopfront Improvements Now Available

The Cassowary Coast Regional Council is excited to launch the Growing Cassowary Coast Shopfront Improvement Program, designed to revamp commercial facades and beautify our vibrant communities in Innisfail, Tully, Mission Beach, and Cardwell.

Mayor Teresa Millwood stated, this initiative enhances our streetscapes and stimulates local economic growth, benefiting both new and established businesses.

The Shopfront Improvement Program offers dollar-for-dollar matching grants of up to $5,000 for eligible projects. The program provides business checklists and one on one appointments making it easier than ever to improve your shopfront.

Eligible improvements include external repainting, signage upgrades, greening your shopfront, lighting, security, and accessibility enhancements.

Interested business owners are encouraged to submit their proposals via the Council’s SmartyGrants platform. Simply include a detailed project proposal, cost estimates, and photos of your current shopfront. Successful applicants will receive guidance and support throughout the improvement process.
