Celebrate Australia Day with Free Pool Parties on the Cassowary Coast

Dive into the Australia Day spirit with free admission to pool parties across the region. 

Councillor Trudy Tschui is encouraging the community to gather, cool off, and enjoy the celebrations.  

“Australia Day is a time to celebrate together, and what better way to do it than by the pool with family, friends? said Cr Tschui. “It is going to be a great day with free entry for all, games and activities for the kids, music, and a free sausage on bread from our wonderful local community groups.” 

Australia Day Pool Parties will be held on Sunday, 26 January 2025, at these locations: 

Innisfail Swimming Pool: 10 AM – 2 PM 

Mission Beach Aquatic Centre: 10 AM – 2 PM 

Cardwell Swimming Pool: 10 AM – 2 PM 

Tully Swimming Pool: 3 PM – 7 PM 

Council’s Australia Day Pool Parties are supported by the National Australia Day Council, Grimsey’s Aquatics, Marlin Coast Swimming and Fitness, Cotter Aquatic Swim and Fitness with BBQs hosted by local community groups. 

The Australia Day Pool Parties will follow on from celebrations being held on Thursday 23 January when Council will host the Cassowary Coast Australia Day Awards at the Innisfail Shire Hall.
