NOTIFICATION OF

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

FOR WORKS

Please be advised that a Temporary Road Closure for Council Works in accordance with Subordinate Local Law No.4, Schedule 2 is proposed as follows:

ROAD NAME:  Fitzgerald Esplanade between Grace Street and Edith Street

SUBURB/AREA:  Innisfail

 

CLOSED FROM:  Sunday 01/11/2020                        TO:  Monday 02/11/2020

CLOSURE HOURS FROM:  6:00pm                             TO:  1:00am

 

CLOSED FROM:  Monday 02/11/2020                       TO:  Tuesday 03/11/2020

CLOSURE HOURS FROM:  6:00pm                             TO:  1:00am

 

Impacts to Traffic For Road Crossings:

The new 150 mm water main crosses Fitzgerald Esplanade at the northern and southern extremities of the project and connects to the existing 300mm trunk main on the eastern side of the road.  To construct these road crossings, it is proposed to close Fitzgerald Esplanade to through traffic on the Sunday night of the 1 /11/2020 and Monday night 2/11/2020.  Each road closure will commence after 6pm and the road should be reopened by about 1 am.  The road closure planning and possibly the time frame for the closure is subject to weather conditions.

The proposed closures are shown on the attached plans.  Local traffic will still be able access properties and the wharf parking area will still be available.

Any changes to these arrangements will be advised to impacted property owners with a minimum of 24 hours notice.

Pedestrian access along existing footpaths should not be affected.

Traffic controllers will be on site to assist with the traffic management. Emergency service agencies have been advised about the proposed traffic changes.
