February 25, 2021 - TULLY CARAVAN PARK SET FOR $500K FACELIFT

Back

With laid back charms and stunning wet tropic views, the Tully Caravan Park is set to offer even more with upgrade works underway.

Cassowary Coast Regional Council Division 2 Councillor Teresa Millwood said work has commenced to upgrade park facilities and is expected to be complete in April 2021, weather and site conditions permitting.

“With major events like Targa and the Red Bull Defiance coming to the region later this year, it is perfect timing to bring the park up to standard and will also encourage visitors to spend a little more time exploring the area.

“Works include installation of a new amenities block, upgrades to electrical supply and sullage to 67 powered sites, upgrades to the park entrance and car parking area, removal of unused buildings and where required, there will be upgrades to concrete slabs.”

Councillor Millwood said the new facilities would provide an improved experience for holiday makers and has the potential to attract more visitors to our region.

“With many Australians looking for an alternative to overseas travel, caravanning and camping has become an affordable and enjoyable way to holiday in these uncertain times.

“I look forward to seeing the full benefits of the upgrade flow into the future and providing a welcome boost to our local economy.”
