Back

There is so much to do at Cassowary Coast Libraries these school holidays with a jam packed schedule of fun and educational activities for children.

Speaking about the upcoming school holiday program, Cassowary Coast Regional Council Councillor Trudy Tschui said that with over a dozen free activities on offer, there is something on offer to keep all kids entertained.

“There is an exciting range of activities to choose from, such as making an owl and butterfly sun catcher and puppet workshops - kicking off from Tuesday 6 April and running until Friday 16 April. The movie program has expanded to three branches, which is great news for kids looking for an indoor activity in the airconditioning.

“I’m very excited that the newly refurbished Mission Beach Library will be open for the second week of school holidays with a grand opening event and school holiday activities planned. Keep your eyes out from more information coming soon.

“All activities are free but as the sessions are extremely popular, I would recommend booking early to avoid missing out.

“Board games are always on offer and older children or parents can enjoy the free WI-FI or computers at all of our library branches.”

Bookings can be made by visiting your local library at Cardwell, Innisfail, and Tully or by calling 1300 366 616. Mission Beach bookings can be made at the Library’s pick up point.
