LIBRARIES ARE BUSTING BOREDOM WITH SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Cassowary Coast Libraries have a theme of investigation and mystery for the upcoming School Holiday program but fun for all ages will not be hard to find.

Speaking about the upcoming School Holiday Program, Councillor Trudy Tschui said that this holiday program offers a variety of free activities with some fantastic new inclusions of Escape Rooms and STEM Punks – CSI Investigations.

“STEM Punks stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and each branch will be offering the fun, interactive online program. Children can learn about Forensic Science and use 3D tools to design and make their own 3D, Virtual Crime Scene.

“Children are encouraged to put on their best detective outfits and spy glasses to uncover hints through all tasks and work in teams to solve the problems.

“Activities such as Dash Robots, Crime Solvers, challenging activities, board games and the wildly popular ‘Escape Room’ will run alongside the more staple favourites such as the movie program offered at the Innisfail and Mission Beach branches.

“As always free wifi and computers will be available for older children and parents to enjoy.”

All activities are free and bookings can be made by visiting your local library at Cardwell, Innisfail, Mission Beach and Tully or by calling 1300 366 616.
