August 15, 2022 - Notice for Water Works - Palmerston Highway and Shaw Road, O'Briens Hill

Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to advise water main works will commence at Shaw Road and the Palmerston Highway at O’Briens Hill from mid to late August, weather permitting. The new water main will replace unserviceable infrastructure to improve flow and water pressure in the area.

Council will endeavour to minimise impacts and will advise resident in advance of possible temporary impacts including:
Minor traffic delays; 
Construction noise;
Disruption to driveway access; 
Loss of water supply; and
Access to kerbside parking. 

For the safety of workers and road users, changed traffic conditions will be in place while the works are carried out. The traveling public will see traffic control in place to maintain two way flow of traffic.
