Cassowary Coast Regional Council is seeking expressions of interest from people aged 15-24 to be a part of the Cassowary Coast Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).

The purpose of purpose of YAC is to provide a platform for Youth throughout the Cassowary Coast to communicate with Council on current and emergent themes impacting youth in our region. To showcase the bold ideas young people have in creating a region they want to live, work and stay in YAC will focus on meaningful youth participation and will work collaboratively to ensure the views and opinions of young people are heard.

Council aims to create a group that reflects the diversity of young people living in our region and Council will provide support to the committee through a Council Support Team.

The committee will meet bi-monthly at dates, times and locations determined by the committee as an approved meeting schedule.
