Community Grants Program Round One Now Open
Round one of Council’s 2023-2024 Community Grants and Support Program is now open, with grants available for up to $5,000 in the Program Streams of Community Wellbeing and Lifestyle and Economic Development.
A recent Council review of the Community Grants Program as adopted by Council at the August Local Government Meeting provides for additional funding; new Program Streams for Community Infrastructure and ANZAC Day and the Battle of the Coral Sea Commemorations; new funding levels and changes to the guidelines which are focused on program eligibility and assessment criteria.
Council provides Community Grants and Support to respond to community priorities and need and create a more sustainable and resilient community by deliver social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes through funding streams.
All individuals or groups applying for Community Grants and Support must comply with the specific requirements of the funding stream that they are applying for. The intention of the Community Grants and Support Program is to support small scale, community projects and individual endeavours. Those seeking funding outside of this Program should contact Council to discuss other options. Applicants are subject to eligibility criteria and must complete the relevant application with all required documentation to be considered.

The portal will be open on 1 September 2023 and applications for the Community Wellbeing and Lifestyle and Economic Development Funding Streams can be made.
