Road Condition Survey is Underway

The Cassowary Coast Regional Council has commenced the annual road survey on our sealed roads. Across the Cassowary Coast Region, we have approximately 700km of sealed roads that are maintained by Council.

Council has engaged a specialised team from Shepherd Asset Management Solution to undertake the road survey for approximately two to three weeks. A vehicle fitted out with cameras and other recording devices will inspect the sealed roads around the region and provide each road with a condition rating.

Results from the 2022 Cassowary Coast Community Scorecard highlighted "Roads" as an area the community wants Council to prioritise. This data will help Council better understand the performance of our sealed roads to develop consistent and prioritised asset renewal programs across the region.
