Registrations open for Rates Consultation Information Sessions

Recommendations and findings from the Cassowary Coast Rating Advisory Committee (RAC) was published today, with community members invited to have their say.

The Rating Advisory Committee (RAC) was formed in June 2023 and was led by an independent facilitator to review Council’s current rating structure, providing recommendations for future general rates. 

Cassowary Coast Regional Council will host a series of information sessions in March to discuss the RAC recommendations and answer questions submitted through the registration process.

Rates Consultation Information Sessions will be held at the following locations:

  • Innisfail Library, Monday 25 March at 6pm
  • Mission Beach Resort, Tuesday 26 March at 6pm
  • Tully CWA Hall, Wednesday 27 March at 6pm
  • Cardwell Community Hall, Thursday 28 March at 6pm

Following the Information sessions community consultation will be open for a further two weeks from Friday 29 March to 14 April, with ratepayers and residents invited to submit questions and feedback for consideration as part of the consultation process.
