**UPDATE 13/2/24 - SHELL POCKET ROAD TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE**

An investigation into Shell Pocket Road has revealed that the structural integrity of the culvert is unsafe to remain trafficable, therefore Shell Pocket Road will remain closed to all traffic until further notice.

Cassowary Coast Regional Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the community for your patience while rectification measures are being considered.

*UPDATE
Due to the inclement weather, Shell Pocket Road will remain closed until Tuesday 13 February 2024.

Council will be undertaking emergency culvert works along Shell Pocket Road. 

Shell Pocket Road will be fully closed for the duration of the works and speed restrictions will remain in place once the road is re-opened.
