Community Set to Benefit From SmartySearch Grant Finding Database Tool
Cassowary Coast Regional Council would like to introduce the new digital tool SmartySearch, a grant finding database that is a one-stop shop to find grant opportunities Australia-wide.
SmartySearch is set to benefit community groups, non-profits, businesses, sports clubs, schools, and individuals by giving access to explore over 5,500 grant opportunities across Australia.
This comprehensive database, maintained daily by the Funding Centre—a project of the social enterprise Our Community—provides essential resources, tools, and training to support community groups nationwide.
Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s Community, Culture and Liveability portfolio holder, Councillor Trudy Tschui spoke about the opportunities and convenience of the SmartySearch portal.
“SmartySearch allows anyone in the Cassowary Coast region to jump onto Council’s website and search for all live grants and funding opportunities, not just offered by Council, but also State, Federal government, Non-government, and not-for-profit opportunities.
“This is a great way to enable groups and individuals the ease of using one page when searching for financial assistance when they have a project or program in mind, saving both time and money in their search.
“This portal leads to opportunities for employment through construction, new programs and community development, as well as volunteer activation. There is also capacity to search for ‘closed’ grants so that organisations can plan for upcoming repeating grant opportunities.
“We encourage everyone—businesses, individuals, and nonprofits—to use SmartySearch to boost funding opportunities in our region,” Cr Tschui added.
SmartySearch is now live and accessible through the Cassowary Coast Regional Council grants webpage or directly here: cassowarycoast.qld.gov.au/SmartySearch-Grants-Database.
