Help Drive the Cassowary Coast’s Economic Future: Join the Economic Leadership Committee

We are reaching out to invite you to consider joining the Economic Leadership Committee (ELC) for the Cassowary Coast Regional Council. We are seeking individuals with expertise in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, transport, and logistics to participate in a three-year term on this important committee.

Role of ELC Members
As an ELC member, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Recommend Actions: You can move motions to recommend actions to the Executive Support Officer for formal submission to the Council, subject to standard Local Government Meeting Approval processes.
  • Review and Evaluate: Members will review the progress of the action plan and assess its alignment with the Economic Development Strategy, providing valuable feedback and suggesting adjustments as necessary.
  • Initiate Strategic Discussions: Engage in strategic discussions to identify emerging opportunities or challenges, ensuring the action plan remains responsive and effective

The ELC will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of our Economic Development Strategy, driving sustainable growth and strong economic leadership in our region.
