November 25, 2021- COUNCIL CEO CONFIRMS DECISION PENDING ON HISTORIC COURT CASE
This morning, the Cassowary Coast Regional Council passed a motion with regards to a long-standing court case involving two local residents.
Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Graffen confirmed the future of this matter will be decided in a fortnight’s time after due legal process is considered.
“There has been much speculation as to how much these proceedings have cost this Council. I have requested a further audit by the Queensland Audit Office to ensure an open and transparent process.”
The CEO also confirmed that as per the resolution he would be requesting a formal meeting with former CEO, James Gott, who retired in September this year.
The matter will come before Council in December.
