TARGA GREAT BARRIER REEF 2021

This Father’s Day, get a taste of Targa Great Barrier Reef and get up close and personal with some of the fastest cars in Queensland.


Councillor Nick Pervan said due to the current Covid impacts across the country, the planned Super Stage as part of Targa Great Barrier Reef will now proceed in 2022.


“In 2021, Targa, Council and Innisfail Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to bring a taste of Targa to Innisfail.
“With about eighty cars in town, car enthusiastics have the opportunity to get a good look at participating cars with TARGACavalcade.


“The Targa cars will be parked along Rankin Street from 11:15am before commencing the cavalcade around 12:50pm. Rankin Street will be closed from 6:00am until 3:00pm to allow for the festivities.


Cr Pervan said the cavalcade will travel along Fitzgerald Esplanade, moving down the Corso and finishing on Mourilyan Road and should take about an hour to complete.

 

 

 

 

TARGA TOWN

Spectators and drivers can make their way into TARGA Fest where the above local restaurants and cafes will be open. Families can enjoy a wonderful Father's Day breakfast at a local cafe or fuel up on one of the fantastic coffee spots in the area. TARGA participants and spectators are welcome to have a look at the cars particpating from 11:15 am before the Cavalcade which will comence at aprox 12:50 pm. 

Car enthusiasts and spectators are also welcome to have a chat with the drivers and take a look at the the 80 participating cars while on Rankin Street. 

The TARGA Town Map includes road closure times and viewing times for the Calvalcade Superstage.
