Summer School Holiday Activities at Cassowary Coast Libraries
From digital workshops to animal encounters, movies and art sessions, imaginations will run wild this summer at Cassowary Coast Libraries.
Cassowary Coast Libraries is pleased to present its lineup of summer school holiday activities starting 11 December 2023, through to 19 January 2024. The free activities for kids of all ages are being held across all library locations including Innisfail, Mission Beach, Tully and Cardwell.
For hand-made Christmas crafts the program includes card and decoration making, as well as festive placemat weaving including Girramay Traditional Weaving.
The summer schedule includes traditional arts and craft including papier mâché and oil slick art, and ‘Design your Dream Place’ craft. Kids will also be encouraged to explore their digital design skill with Canva calendar-making workshops and get wild with Roaming Wild Animal Encounters.
Movies will feature on the big screen at Innisfail and Cardwell libraries, and young historians are invited to ‘Follow the Heritage Trail’ at Cardwell Museum and Heritage Precinct.
