**UPDATE Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to advise that there has been a change in dates for the upcoming Banyan Creek Bridge Works. The revised dates for the bridge closure are from Thursday 13 June 2024 to Saturday 15 June 2024 hours between 6 pm and 6 am.

Cassowary Coast Regional Council will be conducting upcoming maintenance works on the Banyan Creek Bridge in Tully to enhance safety and efficiency. Scheduled to commence from Monday 10 June 2024 to Thursday 13 June 2024, these works will focus on renewal of the bridges expansion joints, including some minor surface defect repairs.

The Banyan Creek Bridge maintenance project is not just about repairs; it's about ensuring that our bridge network is preserved for the longevity of everyone who relies on it. From motorists and transport operators to local businesses and our vibrant agricultural industry, these works will have a positive impact.

The anticipated timeline for these maintenance activities is approximately 3 to 5 days, pending favourable weather conditions. Works will be conducted during the night from 6 pm to 6 am with a temporary bridge closure in place during this time.

During the temporary closure of the bridge, we kindly ask for your cooperation in using the designated detour route via Dean Road and Bryant Street, as outlined in the accompanying sketch. While some noise may be unavoidable during these works, rest assured that our contractor is committed to keeping any disturbances to a minimum.

While Council strives to minimise inconvenience, we ask residents to plan their journeys accordingly and apologise for any disruption caused during the construction phase.
