August 30, 2022- PAVEMENT INVESTIGATIONS - TULLY LOCATIONS

Back

Cassowary Coast Regional Council would like to advise that pavement investigation work will commence in Tully from Wednesday 31 August, weather and site conditions permitting.

Investigations will be undertaken on sections of Butler Street and Watkins Street, Tully.

Work will be undertaken across the coming week, with some work planned for Sunday to minimise impacts to the travelling public, subject to weather. Road users may experience minimal impacts with the road under traffic control for short periods.

These pavement investigations are important for understanding existing cracking and isolated failures and will allow Council to the most sustainable and cost-effective method of treatment.

Works will include an assessment of the  performance of existing pavements and subsurface exploration of small sections of road using drilling or other excavation methods.

The travelling public may experience minor delays. All efforts will be made to minimise any impacts.
