Festival of the Small Halls: A Night Of Community Music

Back

Music lovers, Festival of Small Halls is returning to the Cassowary Coast region this November showcasing touring artists Assynt and Jackie Marshall, and local musical talent Frangipani Harvey.

A night of community and storytelling, Festival of the Halls will welcome to the stage award winning folk trio, Assynt with their impressive piping, tight fiddle and refreshingly contemporary take on their traditional Gaelic roots. They will be joined by Jackie Marshall who brims with a heavy influence of western folk and 60’s and 70’ country.

“It's a huge pleasure to be heading out on the road for Small Halls,” said Jackie Marshall

“I love being in motion, soaking up the colours of this beautiful country, meeting new people with fascinating stories, and experiencing the joy of performing to intimate audiences in venues rich with the feeling of personal connection.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to be involved.”

Joining the lineup will be local North Queensland talent Frangipani Harvey to share her soulful and warm music to the audience on a hometown stage.

Festival Of Small Halls will be held at the Innisfail Con Theatre on Wednesday 29 November. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start. Tickets are available to purchase online at www.festivalofsmallhalls.com/innisfail-2023/. Bar service will be available.
