Transfer Station Closures - Weekend Update

UPDATE 02/02/2025 - Due to the Emergency Alert issued for low-lying flooding in the Cardwell Area, The Cardwell Transfer Station will closed Sunday 02/02/2025.

Heavy rain is expected this weekend, increasing the risk of compromised access to Murray Upper and Hull Heads Transfer Stations. As a safety precaution, these sites will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Need to dispose of waste before the weekend?  Alternative sites remain open at Cardwell, Mission Beach, and Tully with Council prioritising resources at these locations. 

Never drive through floodwaters – If it’s flooded, forget it.
