Planned maintenance on the Banyan Creek Bridge Sunday 12 May

Back

Council wishes to advise that on Sunday 12 May, works will be conducted on Banyan Creek Bridge, Tully. This work will focus on cleaning the bridge and, weather permitting, performing temporary patching on the expansion joints.

Despite some confusion, those holes on the bridge aren't potholes - they're signs of deteriorating expansion joints. Council is committed to rectifying this issue to ensure safe travels in further maintenance works planned for the following months.

Please note: To ensure the safety of both our workers and commuters, there will be a half-lane closure in place from 6:30 AM until 3 PM under traffic control. If you require an alternative route into Tully's CBD, this can be located via Dean Road and Bryant Street. Your patience and cooperation during this time is greatly appreciated as we strive to complete the necessary maintenance.
