Take Control of Your Water Usage with the CCRC Water Portal

Back

You can reduce your water bill, detect leaks and conserve water with the CCRC Water Portal.

For properties with smart meters, Cassowary Coast Regional Council is making this possible with the CCRC Water Portal - a simple, powerful tool to help you manage your water usage in real time.

Mayor Teresa Millwood said the CCRC Water Portal is a game-changer for our community.

“It offers residents real-time data to manage their water usage, save on bills, and address issues like leaks before they become costly problems.”

“By rolling out this technology, we're not only helping households take control of their water consumption but also fostering a culture of sustainability across the Cassowary Coast, said Mayor Teresa Millwood.”

To get started with the CCRC Water Portal, simply visit Your Water Portal and follow the steps on the screen.

Once registered, you’ll gain access to real-time water usage data and customisable alerts, giving you the tools to take control of your water management. Don’t wait until February 2025. Start conserving water, saving money, and supporting our community’s sustainability.

As part of the Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s commitment to water conservation and financial sustainability, changes to the Council’s Rating Concession Policy will take effect from 1 February 2025. These changes promote responsible water usage for all residents.

Key Changes to Council's Rating Concession Policy:

  • Properties with smart meters are not eligible for a concession, except for concession card holders.
  • Property owners have 30 days from the initial leak notice to fix the leak using a licensed plumber.
  • Submit your application for a water concession within 30 days of the plumber’s invoice date.
  • Water charge reductions are limited to once every two years per meter, per owner.
  • The leak must be at least 50 litres per hour.
  • Up to 50% (capped at $500).
  • Concession Card Holders will be capped at $750 and receive a 75% concession on excess water.
