2025 Australia Day Awards Celebrate Dedication and Service Across the Cassowary Coast
Cassowary Coast Regional Council hosted an unforgettable evening on Thursday to honour the region’s most dedicated and selfless individuals at the 2025 Australia Day Awards.
The event brought together community members to celebrate exceptional recipients who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in the Cassowary Coast. The awards recognised those who truly embody the spirit of community.
Mayor Teresa Millwood praised the award winners for their remarkable efforts, underscoring the invaluable role they play in enhancing the region.
“These awards are a chance to publicly honour the inspiring community members who give their time and energy to better the lives of others. Each of them is part of the story of building a stronger, more connected Cassowary Coast,” Mayor Millwood said.
“Our community thrives because of their dedication and care, and it’s only fitting that we take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank them.
“To all the nominees and winners, and to the countless volunteers who work quietly in the background, your efforts make the Cassowary Coast a truly special place to live,” said Mayor Millwood.
The 2025 Australia Day Awards highlighted not only the achievements of this year’s recipients but also the enduring power of community spirit and collaboration.
