Supercharged Support: Council Doubles Grants for Community Projects
Local community groups and organisations have an exciting opportunity to secure double the funding for their events, projects, and initiatives, with Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s final round of grants before the end of the financial year. The Super Round offers expanded support, providing a last chance for local initiatives to receive funding before June 30.
The Super Round, launching tomorrow Friday, 21 February, boasts double the funding across all categories, providing greater support for initiatives that enhance community vibrancy, drive economic development, and promote environmental sustainability
Funding is available across three tiers:
- Small grants – up to $2,000
- Medium grants – up to $5,000
- Large grants – up to $10,000
Portfolio for Community, Culture and Liveability Councillor Trudy Tschui encourages local organisations to take advantage of the boosted funding, highlighting Council’s commitment to community viability.
“By doubling the funding, we are giving local groups and organisations a greater opportunity to make a lasting impact in our community. This is about empowering people to create meaningful projects and events that enhance our region.,” Cr Tschui said.
Council’s Community Grants and Support Program assists a range of local organisations, including not-for-profits, School P&Cs, and auspiced individuals, who are working to bring positive change to the region.
Eligible applicants must submit their applications via Council’s Smarty Grants portal, ensuring all supporting documentation is provided.
