Community Notice: Public Toilets Maintenance

To kick off the new year, Cassowary Coast Regional Council is undertaking a program to give our public toilets across the region some extra care and attention.

Starting Sunday 26 January 2025, selected public amenities will undergo deeper cleaning to improve hygiene and maintenance standards. While this work is being carried out, public toilets may be closed for a brief period of 1–2 hours.

Here is the schedule for the focused cleaning:

  • Cardwell: From 26 January
  • Tully: 28–29 January
  • Innisfail: From 29 January
  • Mission Beach: From 30 January
  • All other public amenities and buildings: Completed by Monday, 10 February 2025

We have carefully scheduled the cleaning during off-peak hours wherever possible to minimise inconvenience to visitors and the public.
